Internet Marketing FAQ

I’ve created my site but its not showing up on Google, Yahoo, Bing or any other search engine?

This is not usually the result of a ban or penalization by the search engines. More likely is that your site is not well optimized for the search keyword phrases you are using to try to find it. Your site may not be readable by the engines or it may be using scripts that hamper or prevent search engine spiders from properly indexing your site.

Regardless of the reason, a site that is hard to find is a site with few visitors.

The best definition of SEO – as written by Danny Sulivan

“SEO — search engine optimization — is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” listings on search engines. All major search engines have such listings, where web pages, web sites and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, as it is with paid search ads.”

Without optimization the chances of ranking a site for well performing keywords is quite low.

Well that depends on the competitiveness of your industry keywords, the current state of your website and your desired results.
